My personal interests include lacrosse, reading, painting, and spending time with
my friends/family. When I want something bad enough I will do whatever it takes
to get it. I’m a hard worker and I get things done quickly. I am a good
listener, but I’m a great leader; Full of ideas and creativity. I am very artsy
but I have an athletic side, too. Growing up in a middle/poor class family I
have learned to appreciate everything I have. I have affection for things most
people wouldn’t stop to look at.
I have very typical personal goals; having a good education, getting
married and eventually having children and being successful in life and love. I
would like to become a police officer and be on a professional lacrosse team.
Retiring when I am 60 would be ideal and buying a house in Sweden with a huge
yard so all of my grandchildren can play. My educational goals include
graduating from high school, getting into a four year college and graduating
with a master’s degree in criminal
justice.
The actions I will take to reach my goals are going to be challenging but
I won’t give up. I will stay focused, fit, and strong. I will get good grades
the rest of my high school year and continue the pattern throughout college. I
will make smart financial decisions, be responsible and learn not only from my
teachers but from myself.
I will need a lot of support and help to reach my goals. I’ll need help
from my family, they push me to do better and understand my strengths and
weaknesses. My teachers and my fellow students will also help me without even
realizing it; they’re inspiring me every day to do better. And most importantly,
I will need to help myself. I am the one who controls my own fate.
I want to join the criminal justice career path. I love the idea of
keeping the people around me safe and secure. I am very athletic, good-willed,
and I don’t give into temptation easily so I think this job is perfect for me.
Through my experience and knowledge gained in college I will be promoted to
chief of police, or maybe detective.
After high school I want to go to college and possibly join a women’s
lacrosse team. My ideal college is close to home and has all the courses I would
like to take such as criminal justice and criminal psychology and join a police
academy. I would also like to get a job the summer before college just to have
something to do with my time.
I started preparing myself for college my sophomore year of high school.
I’ve looked into colleges, taken college courses and built up my physical body.
The college courses I have taken in high school prepared me for what the college
experience is really going to be like and has helped me understand that I have
to push my academic self. I have learned how to get things done the smart way
and not procrastinate on things. I
have been involved in lacrosse and liberty fit and I run every day. My body is
ready to endure the police academy and my mind is ready for whatever knowledge
college is going to throw at me.
